The Democrat governor of New Jersey issued yet another lockdown order, shutting down gyms across the state.
Faced with losing his business, the owners of Atilis Gym defied the order. Were they hit with simply a fine?
No, they were arrested:
The owners of a New Jersey gym were arrested on Monday after they continued to defy the state’s shutdown orders aimed at slowing the spread of coronavirus.
Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti of Atilis Gym in Bellmawr are charged with one count of fourth-degree contempt, as well as one count of obstruction and one count of violation of a disaster control act, both disorderly persons summons.
One of the owners appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show to make his voice heard loud and clear:
Since the COVID panic hit the United States, many Democrat mayors and governors issued shutdown orders.
Schools were closed, lives were upended, and businesses were forced to shut their doors.
Nearly 55 million Americans were put out of work. Yet many question what it was all for.
President Trump himself believe the “cure” was worse than the disease itself.
Even now, many citizens are not “allowed” to open their businesses. They face bankruptcy or worse.
Will state governments mend the damage they caused? No, it seems they want to do worse, arresting gym owners simply because they opened their business.
Should a disease justify a government’s strict lockdown measures? Can governors really deny Americans their basic rights—without even a challenge?
And the bigger question: will they ever give up this power, even when the crisis is over? Will a vaccine be enough to end these kinds of orders?
Or will Democrats always shut down the country, whenever its convenient for them?
