A big win for Trump and all conservatives. A household Trump enemy closes up shop.
You really have to wonder how any conservative can still be a “NeverTrumper.”
Ever since Trump won, he’s been proving these so-called Republicans wrong. They’ve continued to fall apart as Trump’s scored win after win.
Only a few were left, attacking the one president making America great again.
Now, these anti-conservative conservatives have suffered a major blow.
The Weekly Standard, a conservative opinion magazine turned Never-Trump publication, will shut down, according to a Friday announcement from the publisher’s owner, Clarity Media Group…
Earlier December, [Editor-in-Chief Stephen] Hayes told staffers that he was uncertain about the magazine’s future amid sagging readership and a fruitless attempt to find a buyer…
In a separate statement, Hayes said he was “profoundly disappointed” in the decision to close The Weekly Standard and praised the magazine’s roster of reporters and opinion writers.
The Weekly Standard was once a celebrated conservative publication. They had smart writers and thinkers on their staff.
But their blindly hateful ideology against Trump blinded them to see what a great leader he’s become.
They sold out to globalists and Democrats, eroding their reader base big time.
After all, why would decent conservative Americans read a magazine that bashes the president?
Some Republicans might not like Trump’s style or personality. But if you truly believe in conservative principles, you can’t deny his impact.
The Weekly Standard seemed to reject this—and lost their readers.
Few people are mourning the magazine’s fate. As one conservative reader put it:
Bill Kristol has always been a closet globalist leftist. His job was to make conservatism seem “too intellectual and understandable” for the masses.
Probably true. You can’t be a real conservative, these days, and hate Donald Trump after what he’s done for conservatism and America.
