Elon Musk Lands Double-Whammy on Twitter – He Rejects Board Seat, Instead He Could Be Planning Hostile Takeover

What’s Happening:

The Internet was set aflame when Elon Musk bought Twitter stoke. His enormous share of the company (larger than co-founder Jack Dorsey) triggered the board to invite him to join.

It looked like he was going to join but suddenly backed out. There seems to be a good reason why.

From The Western Journal:

Although Agrawal told his “team” he believes it’s best that Musk has declined his seat on the board, this could turn out to be a disaster for the woke company. One of the conditions placed on board members is a 14.9 percent cap on their ownership of Twitter’s stock.

Now that Musk is free from that limitation, there is widespread speculation that he may pursue a hostile takeover of the social media giant.

Elon could buy majority stock, effectively taking over the company. If that happens, Musk might make a radical change to the company’s HQ.

From The Western Journal:

Musk tweeted a poll to his millions of Twitter followers asking: “Convert Twitter SF HQ to homeless shelter since no one show up anyway[?]”

More than 1.5 million people responded to the poll, with 91 percent voting “yes” to the idea.

The poll was later deleted, and many thought it was a joke.

The woke cronies that work at Twitter must be chugging Pepto these days. Elon Musk decided not to join the board. People pointed out that board members are not allowed to buy so much stock that they own a majority.

Some are wondering if Musk pulled out, so he could take over the company by buying up billions’ worth of stock. If he does that, he can make changes without the liberal-leaning board’s (or employees’) approval.

Something that probably got plenty of employees scared was a poll from Musk. He asked his followers if he should convert Twitter’s HQ in San Francisco into a homeless shelter.

Hey, most workers are reporting from home, so the building might be pretty empty. And SF is suffering from some of the worst homelessness in the country. A win, win?

It appears Musk was only joking, for now. But an innovative and unpredictable businessman like Elon could do almost anything.

He likes to take risks and he’s open to new ideas. He might bring much-needed changes to Twitter, to make it a fun place again.

Let’s hope he does.

Key Takeaways:

  • Elon Musk refused to join Twitter’s board of executives.
  • It’s possible he is mulling a hostile takeover.
  • He tweeted out turning Twitter HQ into a homeless shelter.
