What’s Happening:
It never fails. When Democrats can’t convince Americans to support their radical plans, they resort to the courts.
They depend on liberal, activist judges to push their far-left agenda. And, in a strange decision, one judge just went after a Florida anti-woke law.
From The Washington Examiner:
A federal judge has granted an injunction temporarily blocking a key aspect of Florida’s new law that restricts workplaces from implementing “woke” training about race relations…
“In the popular television series Stranger Things, the ‘upside down’ describes a parallel dimension containing a distorted version of our world,” Walker wrote, referencing the science fiction Netflix show. “Recently, Florida has seemed like a First Amendment upside down…”
It looks like this judge needs to spend more time reading the Constitution, than watching Netflix.
A federal judge referenced Stranger Things in justification for blocking parts of a law that bans companies from pushing woke policies.
The foolish judge claimed that Florida was “upside down” in recent years, claiming the state has been attacking “free speech.”
This is a common backwards attack Democrats have made against the conservative-run state. In reality, it is the Democratic Party that has things upside down.
Gavin Newsom recently accused Florida (a state to which many of his own residents are fleeing) of attacking American liberties.
Really? Florida is the state who refused to shut down during 2020. Meanwhile, blue states continue to push abusive, freedom-restricting policies in the wake of the virus.
Florida has passed numerous laws that actually protect Americans’ First Amendment rights. Without these measures, liberals in public schools and companies will discriminate against conservatives.
They have tried to silence opposing views by pushing woke ideas. The very opposite of free speech.
Yet this Netflix-watching judge thinks he can interfere with the state’s ability to pass laws. And win brownie points with kids by referencing an (already stale) series.
Key Takeaways:
- A federal judge blocked parts of a FL law that prevents woke politics in offices.
- The judge referenced Stranger Things, claiming Florida was “upside down.”
- Ironically, Democrats have accused Florida of the very things their states have done.
