Fox News made a glaring error when they canned top host Tucker Carlson. The shocking move hurt the network, as they left many viewers in the lurch. But it doesn’t seem as if the network has completely lost its mind.
Recently, it came to light that Fox removed long-serving personality Geraldo Rivera from its hit show The Five. Rivera has been a fixture at Fox News for many years. But unlike someone like Tucker, Rivera was known for his largely anti-conservative views. He was hardly a fan favorite. So, many will cheer to learn what Rivera did after learning he was removed from the show.
Fox News host Geraldo Rivera posted a video from the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday in which he said he was fired from Fox News’s top-rated show, The Five, and therefore quit the network after a 23-year run.
“I’ve been fired from The Five. And as a result of that. I quit Fox. So I’ll have more to say about that on Fox and Friends tomorrow morning,” Rivera said in a video taken from his boat as he was traveling into New York City.
Ah, boo-hoo! Fox News dropped Rivera from The Five. And, like an entitled liberal, he quit the network he’s worked at for over 23 years.
This is pretty rich. Rivera was known for his bumbling antics during hurricanes and his woefully uninformed views on major issues. At best, he was a liberal foil for the much smarter and cleverer conservative hosts.
Recently, the man lamented the ending of affirmative action, boasting that he wouldn’t have a career if it weren’t for the race-based program.
“I was a product of affirmative action over a half a century ago… And so I got discovered that way, and they drafted me through the Columbia program, and the rest is history.”
Just think, if it weren’t for a liberal program that gave people special treatment because of their skin color, we would have never had to put up with Rivera nonsense all these years. They should have canned affirmative action a long time ago!
I’m sure few viewers will miss Rivera’s condescension and arrogance. And buffoonery.
