The November presidential election is coming up fast, and both political parties will need all the support they can get. Obviously, most Democrats have voiced their support for Joe Biden.
But some Democrat leaders don’t like the direction their party has gone. In fact, some have become so disillusioned with today’s Democrat party, they’ve decided to switch allegiances.
There are 6 leftist Mayors in one state that did just that:
A half-dozen Democrat Mayors in the swing state of Minnesota have denounced their party, saying it has gone “so far to the left,” they don’t even “recognize it” anymore.
In effect, they believe they’re not leaving the party — rather, the party left them.
In the letter announcing their support for President Trump, the six Mayors wrote:
Today, we write to formally endorse President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for four more years.
The letter was signed by Virginia Mayor Larry Cuffe, Chisholm Mayor John Champa, Ely Mayor Chuck Novak, Two Harbors Mayor Chris Swanson, Eveleth Mayor Robert Vlaisavljevich, and Babbitt Mayor Andrea Zupancich.
They specified economic reasons, and said today’s Democrat party “can no longer claim to be advocates of the working class.”
The Mayors further mentioned losing “thousands of jobs,” and the Democrat tariffs on their products (as well as other “bad trade deals”) have had a profoundly negative impact.
That was over four years ago, however. Then Trump was elected and as they said in the letter:
…he stood up to China, implemented tax cuts and fought for the working class.
Now, four years later, the Iron Range is roaring back to life and for the first time in a very long time, locals are hopeful because of this President’s policies and willingness to fight for us.
And though Democrats like Joe Biden claim to support the low- and middle-class members of society, these Mayors don’t see it.
They say “lifelong politicians” like Biden are now “out of touch with the working class,” and therefore are no longer the right champions for the cause.
The Mayors acknowledge that the upcoming election is critical. They say “there is a lot at stake,” and this time, they’re not willing to gamble on another Democrat.
In this election, there is a lot at stake, but the biggest risk is our jobs, our economy, and our way of life.
President Trump delivered the best economy in our nation’s history, and President Trump will deliver for us again.
He will continue to fight for every American regardless of party affiliation and continue to stand up for the working class.
- 6 Minnesota Mayors have abandoned their Democrat party. They’ve officially announced support for President Donald Trump.
- The Mayors cited economic reasons; specifically, the fact that the Iron Range has come back to life during Trump’s term.
- They also say Joe Biden and other Democrats are now “out of touch with the working class.”
