Days Before Senate-Deciding Election – For the First Time, Fetterman Gets Passed by Dr. Oz in PA

What’s Happening:

While polling suggests many Republicans will win next week, there are some races that are razor close. These races could decide the U.S. Senate–and whether or not Biden can survive the next two years. One of those races is for a Senate seat out of Pennsylvania.

Democrat John Fetterman, despite being a bad candidate and possibly ill, was leading Republican challenger Mehmet Oz. Fetterman, though, bombed in their debate–leading many to fear he has not recovered from a stroke. But only now, does it look like the tide is turning for Oz.

From The Hill:

Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Mehmet Oz is narrowly leading his Democratic opponent, John Fetterman, in a new survey from Emerson College Polling and The Hill conducted after last week’s highly watched debate.

The poll, released Thursday, finds Oz leading Fetterman 48 percent to 46 percent among very likely voters, well within the survey’s 3-point margin of error. Four percent said they were undecided. The poll marks a steady improvement for Oz, whose support has increased by 5 points since September. Fetterman’s support has only ticked up by 1 point.

The poll couldn’t be closer. Oz has overtaken Fetterman, leading him 48-46 percent. Pennsylvania has long been considered a swing state with deep blue roots. But Fetterman’s unforced errors during last month’s debate exposed him to tremendous scrutiny.

Many are now fearing his ability to lead when he couldn’t even finish a sentence. You thought Joe Biden was bad? At least Biden doesn’t say “Goodbye” at the start of a speech! Fetterman’s possible cognitive problems are even worse than Joe’s.

But he still enjoys strong support among PA voters, who wrongly associate Democrats with the working class. Fetterman pretends to support “regular folks,” although he plans on supporting Biden’s toxic mistakes 100% of the time.

Nobody thought, though, that a TV personality like Oz would get anywhere. For him to be enjoying 48% support is sounding alarm bells within the DNC. But at this point, they either need to admit their guy is sick and should step down, or suffer a humiliating defeat.

Key Takeaways:

  • Oz has overtaken John Fetterman in a recent poll, 48-46.
  • People are now worried about Fetterman’s health after his debate performance.
  • Fetterman does not appear to have recovered from a stroke.
