The Democratic National Convention began last night, and it included prerecorded remarks from Michelle Obama. And the former First Lady didn’t waste any time in going after Donald Trump.
She emphasized the “awesome power of the presidency” and said the Trump administration has only offered “chaos, division and a total and utter lack of empathy.”
Mrs. Obama concluded by saying that Trump is simply “the wrong president for our country.”
As one might expect, these remarks didn’t sit well with the President.
Trump unleashed a series of tweets in response to Michelle Obama’s speech, and further pointed out the primary failures of the Obama administration (as he sees it).
First, Trump made it plain why he was President the first place:
Somebody please explain to @MichelleObama that Donald J. Trump would not be here, in the beautiful White House, if it weren’t for the job done by your husband, Barack Obama.
Then the President took time to tout his accomplishments, saying he helped build “the greatest economy in history, of any country, turned it off, saved millions of lives, and now am building an even greater economy than it was before.”
But Trump wasn’t done.
He quickly went after Barack Obama, and his handling of the H1N1 Swine Flu, which Trump has often cited since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Looking back into history, the response by the ObamaBiden team to the H1N1 Swine Flu was considered a weak and pathetic one. Check out the polling, it’s really bad. The big difference is that they got a free pass from the Corrupt Fake News Media!

He added that Obama “got a free pass from the Corrupt Fake News Media,” which he believes is the reason why people didn’t criticize Barack’s handling of the H1N1 issue.
Lastly, Trump shifted focus to the Russia investigation, hammering the Obama/Biden administration:
The ObamaBiden Administration was the most corrupt in history, including the fact that they got caught SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN, the biggest political scandal in the history of our Country.
It’s called Treason, and more.
He finished by saying, “Thanks for your very kind words Michelle!”
The President has often lashed out at the former first family, in regards to how they handled their business while in the White House.
It’s also interesting to note Trump saying he wouldn’t be in the White House if it weren’t for Obama…
Perhaps one can assume Trump decided to run because he heavily disagreed with how Obama was running the country?
Either way, Donald Trump is obviously not afraid to trade barbs with the country’s top Democrats.
- Michelle Obama slammed President Trump in her speech, saying he’s “the wrong president for our country.”
- Trump quickly retaliated on Twitter. He first said he wouldn’t be in the White House if it weren’t for Barack Obama.
- POTUS then moved on to highlight the biggest issues with the Obama administration, including their handling of the H1N1 virus.
