By now, you probably heard about the unnamed source who told The Atlantic that Trump insulted fallen soldiers.
Many have come out in public to refute the story, including numerous people who were there.
Americans don’t believe that a man who has honored the troops so frequently would insult them behind closed doors.
And now, our First Lady is coming out to defend the president’s reputation:
Melania Trump wrote in a statement online that the “story is not true.”
“[The Atlantic] story is not true,” Mrs. Trump said. “It has become a very dangerous time when anonymous sources are believed above all else, & no one knows their motivation. This is not journalism – It is activism. And it is a disservice to the people of our great nation.”
Melania Trump went on the record to say The Atlantic story is not true. She accused the magazine of acting in “activism,” not journalism.
She even warned that we are living in “a very dangerous time when anonymous sources are believed above all else.”
So far, upwards of ten people have either attested to the story being untrue. Many who were there on the day the president canceled his visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery said he did so because of the weather.
All of them vow that he never called fallen soldiers “suckers” or “losers.”
Anyone that has bothered to watch or listen to Trump over the years knows that he has the utmost respect for our military.
Long before he was president, Trump respected and celebrated the men and women who serve our country.
As president, he secured the largest increase in funding for the military in years. That included increased pay for active-duty personnel.
He also is reforming the super corrupt VA—ensuring our veterans have access to great health care.
So, why would anyone believe he’d insult fallen soldiers?
This appears to be yet another pathetic attempt by the liberal media to slander the president. They seem to think Americans are stupid and that we’d just believe them because they say so.
The fact that so many media outlets have covered this story proves what Melania Trump said, they are left-wing activists, not journalists.
