Melania and Ivanka Make 1 Bold Move – This Could Save Trump from Stunning Punishment

Last week, New York Judge Engoron issued a verdict in the Trump civil case. Shocking many Americans, the judge ruled Trump guilty—despite what appeared to be exonerating evidence.

The judge issued a $355 million penalty. And he barred Trump from doing business in New York.

The ruling, it seems, is aimed at trying to cripple Trump financially. To ban him from doing business for three years, New York Democrats may be trying to rob Trump of his ability to make money. But experts pointed out a detail the judge overlooked. And it involves Melania and Ivanka.

From Newsweek:
Trump’s businesses could be saved by his other family members, however, such as his wife Melania Trump, or eldest daughter Ivanka, who left the family company in 2017 to serve in Trump’s White House. Legal experts previously assessed that the former president would be able to hold on to his properties even if barred from conducting business by transferring his company to his family members not included in James’ case.

“Engoron’s order prevents Trump and his sons from serving as officers or directors in New York, but they can still be shareholders,” Neama Rahmani, president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, told Newsweek on Friday. “That means they can own the companies, but they can’t run them.”

It is certain that Trump will appeal the ruling. A higher court could overturn all of it. Regardless of that, legal experts are pointing out loopholes that could undermine Engoron’s condemnation of Trump’s businesses.

Trump and other associates cannot run his businesses in New York. But, experts say, he can transfer the company to his wife, Melania, or his daughter Ivanka. Trump can still own stock in the company as well, but cannot make decisions.

But he might give the reins to his wife and daughter, who would manage the company in his stead.

Would Trump do this? In all honesty, he probably has many options available to him. This move by Judge Engoron appears more of a vicious partisan attack, than a real penalty against actual wrongdoing.

Trump will likely weigh all his options and pick the best for his situation. Should he be elected president later this year, he will have even more ways of solving this dilemma.

Key Takeaways:

  • Experts reveal Trump can circumvent Judge Engoron’s ruling by giving his company to Melania or Ivanka.
  • Neither woman was barred from doing business in New York, according to Engoron’s ruling.
  • Critics believe the civil trial was politically motivated and dishonest.
