The pandemic has changed just about everything.
Even the White House and its hallowed traditions have been affected … and that includes the wonderful Easter traditions, typically led by the First Lady.
Due to the virus epidemic, Melania Trump couldn’t hold the annual egg roll event on the White House lawn.
She couldn’t even make an appearance in front of children, which is very unfortunate. Kids love FLOTUS, especially on Easter!
But this wasn’t about to stop Mrs. Trump from connecting with the youth of America.
She found another way to spread good cheer over the holiday weekend.
All she needed was a camera and one of the most beloved children’s books in U.S. history.
Via Daily Caller:
First Lady Melania Trump did her best Sunday to keep the White House Easter traditions alive, sharing a video in which she read ‘The Little Rabbit’ aloud.
Happy Easter! While I am not able to read to children during the #WHEasterEggRoll, I would still like to honor the annual tradition & share a reading from one of my favorite Easter’s books – "The Little Rabbit" pic.twitter.com/2DsU6uRvdM

Okay, so the First Couple wasn’t able to host what would’ve been the 142nd Easter Egg Roll. And kids couldn’t listen to Melania read in person.
However, FLOTUS wasn’t about to let the tradition die entirely. And she’s too kindhearted to ignore the children on Easter Sunday.
So, she read through “Peter Rabbit” and delivered it virtually — and I really hope millions of American kids watched it!
Next year, when life has returned to normal, you can bet Melania will return to her Easter hosting duties on the White Lawn.
…because of course, her husband WILL get re-elected in November, I say.
SHARE Melania Trump’s excellent Easter message to the children of our great country!
