Joe Manchin Just Pulled a 180 On Democrats – This Time, He Endorses GOP Swing State Candidate McKinley in West Virginia

What’s Happening:

Sen. Joe Manchin from West Virginia is a Democrat. But he doesn’t look it.

He recently said he wasn’t a “very liberal” person. The man has frequently opposed Joe Biden’s radical, leftist agenda. It seems like his party isn’t too pleased with him.

So, they are going to be downright nasty over the latest news.

From Fox News:

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., appeared in a Republican primary ad defending Rep. David McKinley, R-W.Va., from accusations that he supported President Biden’s Build Back Better agenda…

Manchin went on to defend McKinley against a claim from his Republican opponent, Alex Mooney, who accused McKinley of effectively supporting Build Back Better by voting for the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

Well, this is interesting. Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin appeared in a 30-second ad defending Republican candidate Rep. David McKinley.

McKinley is facing a primary battle against Alex Mooney. Mooney has accused McKinley of supporting Biden’s agenda after McKinley voted for Joe’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

West Virginia voters have good reason to question McKinley’s loyalties. Biden has refused to cooperate with Republicans. And any Republican in the House voting for Biden’s plans comes off as a traitor.

Manchin appeared in the ad because it has been well-documented how he opposed Joe Biden’s socialist spending agenda.

This endorsement will certainly outrage Democrats, who continue to try to pressure Manchin to support their extremist agenda.

But it remains to be seen how effective this endorsement by Manchin will be. Mooney has the backing of Donald Trump and other America-first Republicans like Lauren Boebert and Ronny Jackson.

Considering West Virginia voted for Trump in both elections, McKinley might need something more than Manchin.

Key Takeaways:

  • Democrat Joe Manchin supported a Republican primary candidate in a new ad.
  • Manchin defended McKinley, who voted for Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure ad.
  • His opponent, Mooney, is endorsed by Donald Trump.
