Liz Cheney has done a great job… of turning on her own party. Wyoming voters rejected her–after she repeatedly went against them.
But she isn’t finished trying to tear down her own party.
Friday at a Texas Tribune event, CEO Evan Smith asked [Liz Cheney], “Are you going to campaign for Katie Hobbs, the Democratic candidate for governor in Arizona?”
Cheney said, “I am going to do everything I can to make sure Kari Lake is not elected.”
Wow. Cheney really thinks she has clout in Arizona? She couldn’t even win re-election in her own state.
Yet she is trying to prevent a Republican from winning the governor’s race in another?
Kari Lake wasn’t worried. In fact, she blasted Cheney, calling her a Democrat.
But Cheney had more to say against the GOP.
Cheney said, “…I’m going to make sure Donald Trump is not the nominee, and if he is the nominee, I won’t be a Republican.”
Oh no! Liz Cheney, a woman who turned on her own party, is going to “make sure” Donald Trump is not the 2024 GOP nominee for president.
Um, how are you going to do that, Liz? Not even Wyoming voters want you. Does she really think she has any influence over the rest of the party?
But, rest assured folks, that if Trump does win the nomination, Liz will stomp out like a spoiled child.
I’m sure most Republicans find that comment of hers ridiculously ironic. “I won’t be a Republican”?
Lady, you haven’t been a Republican for years. You might never have been a Republican.
For a Republican congresswoman to vote against her own party, to oppose a president who is putting Americans first.
To defy her own congressional leadership. To conspire with Democrats in a witch hunt. To undermine the party’s plans for the future.
That’s everything Democrats have been doing and more. Worse still, she has access to Republican strategy meetings.
How much do you want to bet she has a habit of “leaking” details to the left?
Perhaps the party should take the step first and eject Liz as fast as possible.
