During his time in office, Trump enjoyed the support of several key Republicans in Congress.
But that wasn’t always the case with Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The Republican early on appeared lukewarm over the president. Until, that is, the Kavanaugh hearings.
From that point onward, he was a strong supporter of Trump. That seemed to come to an end on January 6.
But now, Graham is predicting the future of the GOP. And it has a lot to do with Trump.
“[H]e will position himself as the alternative to Joe Biden. He, I think, will make a speech that will unify Republicans on policy,” he said. “That I think he’s been working the phones. I was with him all weekend. He wants us to win in 2022…”
“If we can get behind President Trump and follow his lead, we will win in 2022. If we argue with ourselves, we’re going to — we’re going to lose. And there’s no reason to lose.”
Lindsey Graham revealed he was been working with Trump since he left office.
He previously claimed that the party needed Trump to win in 2022. And now he appears even more enthusiastic about that prospect.
Graham believes Trump can energize the Republican Party so they can retake Congress in the midterm elections.
The senator seems to believe Trump can unite the GOP behind a common message over policy. Policy that is the opposite of Biden’s globalist-first agenda.
There is good reason to believe Graham. Already, Biden’s policies have hurt Americans. His approval is much lower than it should be, if the media is to be believed.
Imagine what things will look like in two years? Americans will be clamoring for something better than Biden.
And giving Republicans control over the House and Senate to make that a reality. Donald Trump can be instrumental in that success.
Trump, after all, is still very popular among Republicans. His rallies were the stuff of legends.
Graham believes Trump can give a speech that will ignite the party and get it behind a single cause.
But will Trump take up the call? And more importantly, can the RINOs of the party finally give up their agenda and embrace the America First way?
- Graham believes Trump will be key in helping the GOP win.
- The senator thinks Trump can unite the party for the 2022 midterms.
- He believes Trump can be the alternative to Biden’s losing agenda.
