When Rush Limbaugh passed away last month, Republicans and Conservatives lost one of the most significant voices in radio history. Many right-wingers consider him a legitimate legend.
Of course, those on the left condemned him for being loud, brash, and cold. Some even claim voices like Limbaugh’s contributed to the Jan. 6 uprising in Washington D.C.
But that won’t stop Rush from receiving one last honor.
Limbaugh received many awards and accolades during his life, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, given by President Donald Trump in 2020.
And his radio show amassed over 15 million listeners and ran for decades. It started in August 1988 and grew into one of the most popular shows in American history.
In his 70 years on this earth, there’s no doubt that Rush Limbaugh left an unbelievable legacy. Nobody will ever take that away from him, no matter what the naysayers think.
Now, he’s got one last honor, and it lands on his official birth certificate (as obtained by TMZ).
The death certificate for late radio host and conservative pioneer Rush Limbaugh lists him as the ‘Greatest Radio Host Of All Time.’
That’s a very bold statement but millions will agree with it 100 percent.
Wherever Rush is now, there’s no doubt that he views this as one of the most humbling awards he could ever receive. It’s not an “award,” really, but in many ways, it means so much more.
Sure, Limbaugh is in the Radio Hall of Fame (inducted back in 1993) and the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame (1998), but to have that on your official death certificate is something very special.
The accolades might continue to flow for a while, too.
Conservative politicos and lawmakers won’t soon forget Rush, and they’ll keep honoring his legacy. For instance, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had the state flags lowered to half-mast.
Nobody was surprised that blue states decided not to do this, but millions will forever respect and love this radio legend.
With Democrats holding full power in D.C. now, and entertainment, education and the media bending so far left, it can be difficult to keep a right-wing voice alive.
However, you can bet that for many years to come, Rush’s fans will work very hard to do exactly that.
