Remember when Obama insulted Americans when he said “And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion”?
Hillary Clinton later topped that by calling Trump supporters a “basket of deplorables.”
This year, CNN’s Don Lemon has joined the fray of arrogant liberals who look down on regular Americans:
CNN’s Don Lemon attacked Trump supporters during CNN’s coverage of the last night of the Republican National Convention, insulting his supporters and saying, “it’s not Donald Trump’s issue, it’s yours.”
Why It’s Important:
Like many other West Coast/East Coast liberal elite, Don Lemon looks down on regular folks who vote for Donald Trump.
These people don’t really despite Trump. They despise the hard-working Americans who support him.
Because Trump is simply putting their interests and needs first. Therefore, the liberal elite blame Americans for picking Trump over their candidates.
Democrats lecture to regular Americans. They tell us we’re “racist,” “hateful,” “selfish,” and “ignorant.”
They mock us because we didn’t go to their Ivy League schools or swing in their inner cities.
Then they demand that we vote for candidates that will outsource our jobs, raise our taxes, and destroy our communities.
It’s they who branded Trump a “fascist” and dared us to vote for him. When we did, they called us the problem.
Lemon’s words were echoed again and again at the DNC. It wasn’t a convention for real Americans, but for the liberals of Hollywood and New York who sneer at folks like you and me.
Yet even Chris Cuomo seemed surprised by the comment—as if he is saying, “You’re not supposed to admit that on TV, Don!”
(Although that deer in the headlights look is pretty normal for ol’ Chris.)
Who do you think is right, America: Don Lemon and the liberal elite or Trump supporters?
- Don Lemon insulted Trump supporters, saying it’s their fault, not Trump’s.
- His words are consistent with the liberal elite, who look down on regular Americans.
