Famed director Oliver Stone has frequently spoken about politics. While recently promoting a film, he brought up the ongoing battle for the White House. His attention turned to what Democrats have been doing to Donald Trump. And the left might not expected him to say what he did.

Film director Oliver Stone defended former President Donald Trump in an interview that was published over the weekend against the criminal trials that he faces…“It’s a new form of warfare. It’s called lawfare. And that’s what they’re using against Trump. And I think there’s interesting parallels here in America, as well as all over the world, you’re seeing this kind of behavior. [Trump’s] got four trials and some of these charges, whether you’re for him or against him, they are minor.”
Oliver Stone accused Democrats of waging “lawfare” against Donald Trump. This newly-minted term describes attempts at destroying someone through the legal system. Stone outed Democrats for using lawfare against Trump, with these numerous criminal and civil lawsuits against him.
Many Americans will agree with Stone. According to some reports, Americans believe these cases against Trump are politically motivated. Democrats would probably not be trying so hard to convict Trump if he wasn’t running for president.
Critics accuse Democrats of trying to drain Trump of resources, while also keeping him from the campaign trail. They have only increased the intensity, as signs point to Biden losing the election by a wide margin.
Stone is hardly a conservative. For a liberal-leaning director to see what the left is doing, it means most Americans see it as well. This lawfare may backfire on Democrats. Americans might be so sickened to see it, that they come out in force to vote for Donald Trump.
