It’s hard to trust election polls. Even in 2020, there is reason to doubt something coming out of the MSM.
But when you see a trend, you can tell which way the election is probably heading.
And the final poll before the big first debate, there is fast movement in one direction:
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden holds a narrow lead over President Trump, according to a new Harvard CAPS-Harris poll, released exclusively to The Hill one day before the first presidential debate.
Forty-seven percent of likely voters said they would vote for Biden if the election were held today, while 45 percent said they would back Trump. The survey marks a 3-point improvement for Trump and a 2-point decline for Biden from the last poll that was conducted in August.
The Hill released a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll that shows Biden losing points as Trump is gaining.
This is their final poll before the debate, which might cause the numbers to swing even more.
Notice how they say Biden lost 3 points while Trump gained 2? That is a 5-point swing in one month.
But they break it up like that, to make it sound as small as possible.
Joe Biden had pushed a campaign strategy of “hiding in his basement” as long as possible.
Only when he emerged to do a few appearances, did we see his poll numbers dip.
Maybe it has something to do with Americans not being impressed with this Democrat?
Biden’s campaign has revolved around blaming Trump for everything bad in this country.
But who was in D.C. for over 47 years, both as a senator and vice president?
Shouldn’t Biden take some blame for what the country’s going through today?
And let’s not forget that Biden has had some troubling performances lately. It seems that the man can’t control his frequent gaffes and moments of confusion.
Are they signs of something seriously wrong?
Meanwhile, Americans appear pretty pleased with what Trump has been doing over the last four years.
If he has a good debate against Biden tonight, the polls might actually reflect how real Americans are feeling.
- A new poll reveals Biden losing points and Trump gaining.
- The Harvard CAPS-Harris poll reveals a 5-point swing in Trump’s favor.
- As Biden has emerged from his basement, his numbers have dropped.
