After Kamala Harris Allegedly Plagiarizes MLK Jr. – His Niece Accuses Kamala Of Being “Nothing Like” Her Uncle

Sen. Kamala Harris made headlines again recently, but this time she wasn’t painted in a favorable light. In fact, she’s been accused of plagiarizing a great American civil rights leader.

Harris gave a story to Elle magazine in October, where she claimed she supported civil rights since she was a toddler.

She said she remembered being wheeled through a civil rights march in a stroller, and telling her mother she wanted “fweedom.”

The only problem with the tale is that it’s suspiciously similar to one Martin Luther King Jr. gave to Playboy in 1965. And social media quickly latched on to the similarities.

As did various right-wing media outlets and conservative pundits — including Evangelist Alveda King, who just so happens to be MLK Jr.’s niece.

During an interview with Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Tuesday, King maintained that Harris had in fact plagiarized her uncle’s story, and even went a stop further.

Kamala knows that her worldview is totally different than the worldview of Martin Luther King Jr.

So it’s a big stretch for her to compare herself or to sound like him or to use some of his some analogies.

King added the example of Harris’ support of abortion.

She said the Senator thinks it’s “okay to abort babies up to nine months” and that wouldn’t align with MLK Jr.’s views. He didn’t wish to harm the public, “and that would include babies in the womb.”

King’s boldest statement came in relation to her uncle’s stance on injustice:

He said, ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’

So she’s nothing like Martin Luther King, Jr. but she still—there she is, playing on those emotions again.

MLK Jr.’s niece has been a staunch supporter of President Donald Trump from the beginning, and has often criticized Democrat leaders in the past.

She frequently rips their “very, very radical” ideas and of “using and misusing the Bible [and] emotions.” She isn’t alone in these beliefs, of course, as Republicans often accuse today’s Democrats of going too far.

They don’t not support life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” King finished.

As for Harris, she hasn’t commented on whether or not her stroller story is indeed factual. Maybe because of that, the accusations of plagiarism continue to fly.

And until she decides to address the situation, it’s likely that most of her critics will continue to remind her about this for years to come.

Key Takeaways:

  • Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, Evangelist Alveda King, has called out Senator Kamala Harris.
  • King accused Harris of plagiarizing one of her uncle’s stories, and said Harris’ views don’t align with her uncle’s in a lot of ways.
  • King called out Harris’ stance on abortion as one example. She is also an avid Trump supporter and typically condemns Democrats for being “very, very radical.”
