If you are looking for hugely controversial – and some say out-of-touch – opinions, look no further than The View. These vocal ladies really believe their bloated thoughts are critically important, perhaps because cameras are pointing at them. But time and again, they run afoul of millions of Americans.
That is doubly true when they talk about politics. Even the “conservative” co-host they roll out from time to time rarely expresses a real conservative view, as Republicans often say.
Recently, the co-hosts were complaining about—you guessed it—Donald Trump. Joy Behar was in rare form, attacking a recent decision by Louisiana to post the Ten Commandments in public schools. She then used that to attack the former president, and in the same breath she managed to insult every Christian who will back the Republican this fall.
From Daily Caller:
“The View” co-host Joy Behar suggested Thursday that people who vote for former President Donald Trump are not true Christians…“This guy has gone above and beyond, and yet these Christians, these so-called Christians, are gonna vote for him,” Behar said. “The children see this Ten Commandments in school and then they see their parents —”
“… It just seems ironic that he’s broken every law of every commandment and they think he’s the one to vote for. What is the matter with everybody?” Behar added.
Joy Behar went on a rant while complaining about a recent decision out of Louisiana; in a landmark move, the state has required the Ten Commandments be placed in public schools. She then used this issue to attack Donald Trump, bringing up tired claims about his relationship with Stormy Daniels.
The liberal TV show host went on to attack Christians who plan to vote for Donald Trump: she accused them of essentially ignoring their beliefs to vote for an “evil” man. The woman claimed that Trump had “broken every law of every commandment.”
It’s pretty ironic that a non-Christian seems to think she can lecture Christians about what they believe or who they get to vote for. Critics maintain that this is typical of Democrats who, although often non-religious, seem to have a more “holier than thou” attitude than every other American.
Those pushing back also say people like Behar are so poisoned by their hatred for Trump, that they can’t even see their own hypocrisy. She blasts Trump for “breaking” the commandments while she is blissfully unaware of how many she is breaking herself — perhaps every single day on air.
If she really thinks this will win over anyone to her side, it may not work out well.
Key Takeaways:
- Joy Behar criticized Christians who will vote for Trump in November.
- The View co-host called into question these voters’ faith and views.
- Behar and her co-hosts are known for suffering from terminal Trump Derangement Syndrome.
