As you can expect, Joe Biden’s team is redecorating the Oval Office. President Trump adorned it with gold curtains and busts of great leaders (including Churchill and Dr. King).
What will Biden do to this history office? Well, let’s say he’s not basing his decisions on interior decorating tips.
Instead, it appears he’s just trying to do the opposite of what Trump did.
He removed a portrait of President Andrew Jackson, a bust of Churchill, and military flags. In their place is something few Trump supporters will love. From Fox News:
President Biden has removed the bust of former U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill from display in the Oval Office…
The Washington Post, as part of a tour of the new design of the famous room, reported that Biden “does not have the bust on display.” However, other busts, including labor leader Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Jr., are on display.
Biden is placing a bust of the notorious labor leader (and leftist icon) of Cesar Chavez.
While still a hero for most on the left, Chavez was known for his vicious opposition to unlawful immigration. He would even boast about how he would apprehend migrants at the border.
(Democrats tend to keep that bit about his life a secret.)
Chavez, however, was a powerful supporter of far-left policies that many call socialist. He was a revolutionist for workers’ rights and still beloved by many on the West Coast.
Not really a symbol of America unity and greatness, if you ask me.
Once again, Biden is removing a bust of Churchill. You might remember Obama did that in 2009, which was viewed as a snub to our allies over the pond.
Churchill is considered a hero of WWII who bravely stood against Germany as other European nations fell.
He was a key ally of America’s, as we entered the war.
For a president to remove might be seen as an insult to Great Britain.
But hey, at least a revolutionary is honored in his place!
- Biden’s team has already redecorated the Oval Office.
- He removed a bust of Churchill and other portraits.
- In its place, he installed a bust of Cesar Chavez, a leftist icon.
