Despite criticism from experts and basic common sense, Democrats are forging ahead with their second impeachment of Donald Trump.
We all know why: they fear Trump returning to politics and retaking the White House.
The media recently made a big deal about several lawyers dropping from Trump’s team. They speculated why, but it looks like Trump is bringing in a new suite of experts.
From Fox News:
Former President Donald Trump on Sunday announced a new legal defense team after he parted ways with five of his impeachment lawyers just over a week before his Senate trial is set to begin, Fox News has confirmed.
And now, he’s calling this second impeachment battle his “badge of honor.”
“He’ll let Bowers handle the trial in a straightforward way, without litigating the election fraud stuff. The president will be acquitted again, and then he’ll use his two acquittals as a badge of honor with his base.”
President Trump has hired on a new team of lawyers to present his defense during the Senate’s impeachment trial.
A friend has said Trump views this second impeachment as a “badge of honor.” What could that mean?
Well, Trump is the only president to be impeached twice, both in one term, by the same swamp. And, it appears, in both cases, they will fail to convict him.
Trump is most likely calling this a badge of honor, because these impeachments are evidence of his work to drain the swamp and put Americans first.
Let’s be honest, his supporters (75,000,000 strong) don’t think he did anything deserving of impeachment (in both cases). They will see this second attempt as the left’s pathetic way of tarnishing the president’s legacy.
Instead, it will make him look like a hero—a martyr even—among Americans who still demand our leaders put our interests first.
In the coming years, as Sleepy Joe and his allies do a nationwide faceplant, Trump’s supporters will grow only more and more restless.
They, and many others, will be demanding leadership that rejects the left’s globalist obsession, and makes America great again.
Trump might not run again, but his influence will surely be felt.
