The border crisis has impacted the United States in numerous ways. Citizens continue to complain about rising numbers of migrants flooding into the country.
Specifically, they’re concerned about the potentially dangerous border crossers, and corresponding reports have increased.
And here’s another disturbing report — which many say is a direct result of the worsening crisis.
One of the most common accusations is that DHS isn’t enforcing existing immigration laws, and are allowing criminals to invade our communities.
These people have no right to be here, technically speaking. And yet, they’re here, and causing serious problems.
For example, a 36-year-old illegal migrant from Mexico is now facing 3 horrible charges.
Many critics wonder: why are these people allowed to be in the U.S., and what are the chances he avoids deportation?
From Breitbart:
An illegal alien has been charged with sexually assaulting two children under the age of 13-year-old in the sanctuary state of New Jersey.
Francisco Barrera-Capistran, a 36-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, was arrested and charged late last week with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault by contact, and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child in Bergen County, New Jersey.
These are the kinds of reports that frustrate and anger American citizens, and they accuse the Biden administration of being far too lax on the border.
The result is people like Capistran running wild in our country, and this time it involves sexual assault with children under the age of 13.
And there’s another problem that affects this case:
Because New Jersey is a sanctuary state, local police are barred from cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
This means that ICE might only get ahold of Capistran if he’s released from police custody. This situation seems to run counter to the idea of public safety.
Illegals committing heinous crimes is nothing new, unfortunately.
Over the years, U.S. residents have seen their lives terribly impacted by criminals who never should’ve been allowed into the nation in the first place.
And right now, it seems things are just getting worse.
Key Takeaways:
- An illegal Mexican migrant has been charged with 3 serious crimes.
- This includes sexual assault of multiple children under the age of 13.
- Critics say this is an example of a broken immigration system, especially because New Jersey’s sanctuary status protects the accused.
