As we near election season, we should not be surprised to see endorsements from celebrities. Hollywood entertainers are known for plugging candidates, lending their “star power” to boost their election chances.
Most of the time, these celebrities are in the bag for Democrats.
The mainstream media rarely has a problem with actors talking at length about liberal politicians. Recently, a beloved TV star was asked about his views on presidential candidate Donald Trump. After he gave a short reply, the network moved to end the interview.
From Fox News:
“Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer told the BBC that he is still a Trump supporter, which apparently caused the interview to end…
“You mentioned Roseanne early on, who had a great comeback, but also was a Trump supporter, you were, at least you were a Trump supporter, I’m fascinated to know if you still are?”
“I am, and that’s about all, let that be the end of it,” Grammer said.
Webb told listeners that Grammer was “perfectly happy” to elaborate on his support for the former president, but the “Paramount+ PR people” were “less happy that he talked about it.”
Kelsey Grammer, who returned to his iconic role as Frasier Crane, revealed he remains a Donald Trump supporter in the 2024 Election. Grammer is one of only a few Hollywood actors who is openly conservative.
When he revealed his support for Trump, the interview ended. Justin Webb, the interviewer, revealed Grammer was happy to elaborate on why he continues to back Trump. However, Paramount+, the service that is streaming the new series, did not want him talking about it.
It appears television networks and streaming services don’t mind when liberal celebrities push endorsements. And they’ve never ended an interview when an actor has something bad to say about Donald Trump.
Yet, when Grammer wanted to discuss his personal reasons for supporting the former president, he was denied. Could it be that Paramount fears that viewers won’t tune in to watch the new show if they are offended by Grammer’s views?
Or is it that Paramount is being run by liberal Democrats, who refuse to let likable celebrities like Kelsey Grammer possibly sway voters?
Democrats have received heavy criticism in recent years for allegedly colluding with social media to censor conservatives. It is possible viewers will accuse Paramount+ of doing the same in this case.
