Illegal immigration will not go away on its own. To protect Americans, you have to get tough. That means passing rules that discourage people from coming.
Legal immigration is a good thing. Yet it’s trampled on when politicians allow illegal entry. Obama’s policies encouraged people to come illegally. He created loopholes that increased illegal immigration, not decreased it.
But if a new policy is put through, it will strike a huge blow at the problem.

Under the policy being considered, families could be separated, with parents being kept in detention facilities as they await deportation while children would be kept under protective custody at shelters for juveniles or with an approved sponsor.
The measure is among those being considered by Trump administration officials to curb illegal border crossings, especially those involving young children.
Former Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly, who now serves as White House chief of staff, said earlier this year that the Homeland Security Department was considering the policy as a means to discourage whole families from coming into the U.S. illegally, but later backtracked after backlash.
Many illegals cross over with children. That’s because U.S. policy lets parents and relatives of minors stay. Yet that ignores the fact that all of them broke the law. All should be deported.
Obama’s policy created a loophole to increase illegal immigration. Democrats want more illegals, because they hope they will vote for them. It’s a pathetic and ugly practice. One that violates the law and harms illegals.
To end this practice, we have to get tough. Liberals will screech. They will say we are attacking families. But that is simply not true. These people broke the law, hoping we’d go easy on them. But that has only led to more crime, danger, and death.
It’s time we erased the failed policies of Obama. It’s time we protected our country.
