House Republicans Move to Help Trump Allies – And It’s a Huge J6 Bombshell

When Nancy Pelosi was in charge, she conducted a commission aimed at blaming Donald Trump for the unfortunate events of January 6, 2021. She put together a team of anti-Trump Democrats and a few RINOs (notably, most of those Republicans are now out of a job).

The event was more for show, as Pelosi sought to air hearings on prime-time TV … I guess she still thinks it’s 1998 when people watched primetime TV.

Among the many controversial moves this commission made were criminal referrals for several Trump allies who refused to testify. These private citizens refused subpoenas for what they believed was a witch hunt against a former president, and now wo of these men are now facing jail time for not playing ball with Pelosi. But House Republicans are working to right this wrong.

From Daily Wire:
A group of more than two dozen House Republicans unveiled this week a resolution that aims to rescind January 6 Committee subpoenas against several associates of former President Donald Trump.

The measure also seeks to withdraw recommendations that these individuals be held in contempt of Congress and require the House speaker to notify the Department of Justice (DOJ) of the actions.

At focus are four ex-White House officials who refused to cooperate with subpoenas: Stephen Bannon, Peter Navarro, Dan Scavino, and Mark Meadows.

Over two dozen Republicans are working to rescind Pelosi’s J6 subpoenas against Stephen Bannon, Peter Navarro, Dan Scavino, and Mark Meadows. Pelosi and her colleagues called on the DOJ to prosecute these men for simply refusing to go along with her witch hunt. Unsurprisingly, The Department of Justice went ahead and prosecuted two of these men; Navarro is currently in prison, and Bannon is slated to go to jail soon.

Republicans have blasted this entire episode as political revenge by Democrats. Pelosi used her power as Speaker to go after allies of a president from a rival party—something Trump claims only happens in third-world countries. But many Americans agree with him, as they claim Democrats have frequently attacked people who refuse to comply with their political agenda.

Does that sound democratic to you? Republicans are working to undo this ugly chapter in our recent history, but it’s unclear if this will mean Navarro and Bannon will be released. Vocal critics maintain that current DOJ leadership is in the bag for Democrats—and they have judges who are more than willing to comply with their agenda.

Key Takeaways:

  • House Republicans are trying to rescind Democrat-created subpoenas that landed some Trump allies in jail.
  • Democrats demanded Trump associates to testify against him; when they refused, they sent the DOJ after them.
  • Two of these men, Peter Navarro and Steve Bannon, have been convicted and sentenced to jail.
