House Republicans could be on the verge of opening a third front of impeachment proceedings against top members of the Biden Administration.

Rep. Matt Rosendale’s (R-MT) office announced on Monday that the congressman plans to introduce one or more articles of impeachment for “high crimes and misdemeanors” against Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin when the chamber meets on Tuesday.

Republicans in the House are discussing opening up new impeaching proceedings against Biden officials. High on their list is Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. Rep. Matt Rosendale has claimed the Pentagon head has committed “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

He accused Austin of violating “his oath of office time and time again.” Rosendale has even claimed the DOJ head has “jeopardized the lives of the American people.”

Republicans are pointing to several controversies that have occurred on Austin’s watch. That includes the Chinese spy balloon fiasco that occurred last year. He claimed Austin lied about the balloon several times, as the administration let it fly over the country.

Austin is also being blamed for the chaos that followed Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. Republicans are putting on Austin the death of 13 American service members and allowing “unvetted migrants” to enter the United States.

Critics have been harsh with Austin from nearly the start of his time as defense secretary. Soon after taking over the Pentagon, he pushed “woke” priorities onto the Armed Forces, including gender identity dogma as well as rooting out “white supremacy.”

Under Austin’s leadership, enlistment across all branches is dangerously low. Few young Americans are interested in joining the military.
