Hours After McConnell’s Stunning Freeze-Up – Elon Musk Suggests a Nation-Changing Solution

What’s Happening:

Guess what? Democrats aren’t the only ones with aging, unfit leaders in office. We all know about Joe Biden. Sen. Feinstein, and John Fetterman. These, among others, have shown that their physical fitness is far from adequate to stay in office. But this week, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell let everyone know that, yes, Republicans are also ignoring the signs on the wall.

The man froze while speaking with reporters, literally stopping to speak mid-sentence. The chilling video quickly went viral, sparking speculation on what happened. McConnell claims he got “light-headed,” while people suggested a stroke, seizure, or other things. And now, Elon Musk is proposing a move that would end this nonsense once and for all.

From Fox Business:

Elon Musk said the incident Wednesday when Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., appeared to freeze up during a news conference with other Republican leaders should warrant a “need” for a constitutional amendment.

Musk, who owns Twitter and other companies, tweeted early Thursday morning, “We need a constitutional amendment. This is insane.”

Many people pointed to McConnell’s age after his terrifying moment before reporters. McConnell is 81. Many other leaders in Congress are in their 70s or 80s. Some are even older. This prompted Elon Musk to suggest a “constitutional amendment.”

It appears Musk is suggesting an amendment that would either set term limits or age limits for those serving in Congress. For many years, Americans have discussed placing term limits on those in the House and Senate.

The president has term limits. As do many mayors, governors, and sheriffs. But the people literally passing the laws in our country can stay in office forever. That’s because they’d be the ones passing a law that would set their own term limits!

And none of the swamp lovers in D.C. are willing to limit how many years they can cheat Americans–I mean, serve the country they love.

Musk’s suggestion sounds good, but it would be very hard to pass. Not only would Congress has to approve an amendment, but two-thirds of the states would have to agree as well. After McConnell’s little “episode” we’d probably find plenty of states eager to set age or term limits on congressmen.

But can there be enough pressure put on Congress that they’d actually support it?

Key Takeaways:

  • Elon Musk called for a constitutional amendment after McConnell’s “freeze.”
  • The Senate Minority Leader froze mid-sentence while speaking to reporters.
  • Many Americans want term limits for congress members, due to their advanced age.
