President Donald Trump is back working in the White House after his COVID-19 scare. He was released from Walter Reed on Monday.
And while he has sent several messages to the American public, stating that he’s feeling well, some believe he shouldn’t have left.
One such individual is Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin.
Rubin, a former conservative writer, is now the paper’s “Never-Trump, pro-democracy” columnist. And she really has an issue with Trump’s discharge.
Rubin took to Twitter, slamming Walter Reed for releasing Trump too early.
In fact, she believes the government should look into defunding Walter Reed due to what she perceives is negligence.
Congress might want to defund Walter Reed. It is a public health hazard.

Rubin went still further, begging First Lady Melania Trump and son Barron to leave the White House for their own protection.
She also said the White House “should be evacuated if Trump returns.”
Then she added in another tweet:
Oh, Walter Reed MD's, is your malpractice insurance paid up?

Oh, Walter Reed MD’s, is your malpractice insurance paid up?
Rubin added that the doctors at Walter Reed are “professionally responsible for allowing this,” and suggested there would be a “thorough review.”
If that review deems Walter Reed did the wrong thing, punishment could come down in the form of cutting funding.
However, Rubin herself is not a doctor, so her suggestions and claims may hold less weight with the reading populace.
One also wonders — would doctors really let Trump go if they had even the slightest concern that he was in danger?
Perhaps that’s the question we should really be asking.
Key Takeaways:
- Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin has suggested Congress should “defund Walter Reed.”
- She believes the hospital doctors discharged Trump too soon, and doing so is a “health hazard.”
- Rubin’s lack of medical expertise might make her tweets hard to swallow for some.
