It is likely she was issuing a warning to voters. The neocon tried to instill fear in something Trump might do if reelected. But, in reality, this might be something his supporters are eager to see him do.

They say a broken clock is right twice a day. And it seems, for the second time in recent months, Hillary Clinton is making a bit of sense. She previously opposed a ceasefire in the Israel-Hama war, knowing it would give the terror group time to prepare another attack on Israeli citizens.
Now, she has warned European allies that Trump “means what he says” when he complains about NATO allies not paying their fair share. Clinton has long been an advocate for America being involved in conflicts all over the world.
She is likely supportive of America continuing to pay large sums to prop up the flagging militaries of NATO nations. But she is warning these countries that if Trump is reelected, he just might pull America from NATO.
When Trump was previously president, he pressured NATO nations to pay more for their defense. America was paying the lion’s share of the expenses, with NATO countries doing very little in return.
It seems NATO nations were unwilling to fully comply with Trump’s demands. So, it is very likely that should he return to office, he will withdraw all of America’s support for NATO.
Trump has long been an advocate for ending foreign wars. And he’s been critical of NATO countries taking U.S. military dollars. Meanwhile, the U.S. struggles to address problems within our own country. Could Trump pull NATO funds to help rebuild America?
We can’t say for certain—but I’m guessing there are many Americans who would applaud that.
