Why does it always seem like there is a double standard for Democrats? If a Republican is accused of some kind of violation–the book is thrown at them. But time and again, we see members of the Biden administration flagrantly ignoring the law, and nothing happens.
Peter Buttigieg has repeatedly abandoned his duty. John Kerry flies around in a private jet, breaking his own environmental rules. And now, yet another Biden official willfully broke a rule that is meant to keep politics out of official offices. And he doesn’t seem a bit worried about it.

Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra violated the Hatch Act by using his official authority or influence to affect the result of an election while speaking at a public event last year, a U.S. government watchdog said on Tuesday.
Biden’s head of the HHS violated the Hatch Act last year. During a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Annual Awards Gala dinner, he spoke of his support for Democratic California Sen. Alex Padilla’s re-election bid.
Becerra said he was going to vote for him, which is against the law. The Hatch Act forbids government officials from engaging in political activity. Sorry, Xavier, but saying who you are going to vote for is considered political activity. As the head of HHS that was a clear endorsement of a political figure.
Do you want to know his response? He claims he didn’t “realize” that he was breaking that law. He called the remarks “off the cuff” and apparently, he shouldn’t be penalized for them. Yeah, right. You mean to tell me that the head of a major U.S. agency didn’t know how the Hatch Act worked?
I guess you can do whatever you want and claim ignorance, if you are a Democrat. Heck, Hillary Clinton broke all kinds of laws, yet the FBI didn’t prosecute, claiming she didn’t know what she was doing was illegal.
Isn’t the law supposed to be applied to everyone the same way? Ignorance of the law is no defense, just as any traffic cop. Yet the left keeps worming out of the repercussions of their own criminal activity.
If this had been a Republican official, he would have already been fired. Maybe even investigated. Yet we hear nothing from Biden about Becerra, because he and the left just expect this to just fade away.
