Thanks to work at the National Memorial Cemetery in Hawaii, DNA testing was able to identify the remains of this Medal of Honor hero. Cpl. Story’s body was transported to his surviving niece, Judy Wade.
The American soldier will be laid to final rest at Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors. That means the United States military will be on hand to honor this man, who gave his life at such a young age.
