‘Green And Clean’ Jerry Brown Receives Horror Report On Cali’s Beloved Beaches

California bought into the green movement in a big way decades ago. While there’s nothing wrong with wanting clean air to breathe, California has taken things to extremes.

Cars have had to be modified just to meet California’s emission rules. And that’s just one of many requirements placed on manufacturers. The goal is to make California the model state when it comes to environmental extremism.

Unfortunately, some equipment failed in a huge way. You know all those beautiful beaches? Don’t go near the water. Almost 5 million gallons of raw sewage was accidentally dumped into the ocean. So much for setting the standard for clean water.

4.9 million gallons of sewage spilled from the Monterey One Water wastewater treatment facility early Saturday morning after an equipment failure.

It’s unclear how long the spill continued before it was eventually stopped at 4:30 a.m. PST Saturday, the Monterey County Environmental Health Department reported.

Eight beaches have been closed until such time as government authorities have determined the water to be safe.

Which raises another question. When there are oil spills, there is much concern about the oil soaking into the beaches. Isn’t this raw sewage doing the same thing?

Of course, fecal matter and crude oil are very different. But who wants to play on a beach that has been soaked in sewage?

And what about all the sea creatures they are constantly so worried about? What will this do to them?

Not to mention, it’s not the only time this has happened recently.

The spill comes days after 1,500 gallons of sewage spilled into a storm drain in Monterey. The Health Department also posted warnings on Jan. 16 after finding alarming levels of bacteria in the water at the Monterey Municipal Beach.

California is the land of big government and environmental extremism. This is not good for publicity.

Surely, Governor Brown will appoint several blue ribbon commissions to analyze this disaster and make reports to his office. Eventually. In the mean time, he and other government leaders can just hope it doesn’t happen again.
