What’s Happening:
The more we look at Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock, the less we like him. The man appears to have exploited his position as a pastor in Atlanta for years. He was under fire recently for trying to evict people–after demanding Congress pass rent “forgiveness.”
But that was only the tip of the iceberg for this man’s questionable actions. Back in 2016, the man used his influence over his church to campaign for Hillary Clinton. Even before he was in the Senate, he was a shill for the left. Now, we are learning that endorsement came with a hefty kickback.
From Fox News:
The Atlanta church where Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., has served as pastor for nearly 20 years received key funding from the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) shortly after he campaigned for Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid in 2016.
The CGI announced in June 2016 that it would award a one-year $550,000 grant to Ebenezer Baptist Church, the place of worship where Warnock continues to serve as senior pastor.
Shortly after Warnock used his influence as a minister to prop up Hillary Clinton, her organization gave his church $550,000 for “green” energy. The money was aimed at helping the church become “energy efficient.”
As part of the deal, the church partnered with several Democrat-backed green groups, which provided further benefits to the church.
How convenient! Warnock exploits his position of leadership to support Hillary Clinton. And his church gets over half a million dollars. Not a bad deal, huh? Clinton was long accused of using her various organizations to barter for favors.
As Secretary of State, many believe she used her Foundation as a front for a pay-for-play scheme. Foreign governments and companies would donate big bucks to the org, then suddenly get special deals from the State Department.
I guess Clinton’s bribery scheme wasn’t limited to just that. She seemed to be able to use her organizations to secure favors from all sorts of people. Is this why rich and powerful people create non-profits–as fronts for funnel cash and manipulating elections?
We can’t be sure, but that’s definitely what it looked like for Clinton. Hillary may be out of politics (for now), but Warnock is fighting for re-election. He will be facing Republican Herschel Walker in a December 6th runoff. If he wins re-election to the Senate, who knows what kickbacks and favor he’ll earn for himself?
Key Takeaways:
- Democrat Warnock received $550,000 from the Clinton Global Initiative, after endorsing Hillary Clinton.
- The grant was to make his Atlanta-area church more “green,” along with partnerships with green orgs.
- Clinton was notorious for using her organizations to secure favors and boost her influence.
