George W. Slips Up in Eye-Opening Blunder – Bush Refers to One-Man Invasion of Iraq, Quickly Corrects to Ukraine, Says “Iraq, too”

What’s Happening:

We don’t hear much from former President George W. Bush, these days. But from time to time he makes an appearance at events or interviews.

Recently, he was calling out former contemporary Vladimir Putin’s attack of Ukraine. But while he was railing against the Russian tyrant, he made a noticeable gaffe.

His reaction to it, however, was in stark contrast to the gaffes we’re used to seeing.

From Fox News:

Former President George W. Bush made an eye-catching gaffe regarding Iraq while condemning Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine…

“…The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq. I mean of Ukraine.”

“Iraq, too. Anyway… 75.” Bush added, referring to his age.

Bush momentarily confused “Iraq” with “Ukraine” during a speech condemning Putin’s current invasion.

But, the former president quickly noticed the gaffe and made a correction. He then brushed off the obvious mistake by chalking it up to the fact he’s 75 years old.

We all know Bush presided over a long and controversial conflict in Iraq. It’s natural that Iraq would come to his mind while discussing current global conflict.

But unlike Joe Biden, he realized his mistake and continues. And it appeared to be the only notable gaffe in an otherwise fine speech.

This is dramatically different from what we’ve been seeing from Joe Biden. The man constantly makes gaffes, confusing remarks, or shows signs of forgetfulness.

Although only a few years older than Bush, he seems to be suffering from some decline of his faculties.

There have been some moments so worrisome, so inappropriate for a sitting president, that many claim he is suffering cognitive decline.

Some Americans believe he is suffering from dementia or some other illness. Yet Democrats refuse to even acknowledge the problem.

But Americans are not ignoring it. And we are very worried Biden is losing his marbles.

Key Takeaways:

  • George W. Bush confused “Iraq” with “Ukraine” during a speech.
  • He quickly caught the mistake and continued his speech, undaunted.
  • This is in stark contrast to Joe Biden, who constantly stumbles during appearances.
