Democrats keep losing their grip on the “swing” state of Florida. Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has transformed the state, for the better. He has scored major wins on numerous issues, from parental rights to the Second Amendment. And despite vicious attacks from the left, he keeps delivering.
Thanks to DeSantis, Republicans enjoy a supermajority in the Florida Senate. Republicans are using this advantage to derail some of the left’s biggest schemes. They just voted 27-12 to ban something Democrats have been championing for years now. And the left can hardly stand it.

The Florida Senate voted Tuesday to approve a ban on transgender treatments for children.
The bill, SB 254, passed 27-12 in the chamber where Republicans hold a supermajority. Introduced by Republican state Sen. Clay Yarborough, the legislation would prohibit anyone under age 18 from undergoing sex-reassignment surgeries or taking prescription-based cross-sex hormones to treat gender dysphoria. The bill would also make permanent a state rule banning Medicaid from reimbursing people of all ages who undergo the procedures.
Boom! You know leftists are already screeching over this news. The Florida Senate voted to ban transgender treatments on minors. This means nobody under the age of 18 will be allowed to undergo gender surgery or be given hormone therapy drugs.
This strikes a huge blow against the radical, transgender movement. Trans activists have long targeted children for their perverse agenda. Some children are confused over their gender, at a young age. These predators exploit that temporary confusion by insisting they are “trans.” These activists, many of whom work in public schools, convince children (without parental knowledge) to undergo some form of transgender treatment.
By the time they reach adulthood, they have been so harmed by these drugs or treatments, that they can’t reverse the changes. The transgender lobby suppresses the news that many–if not most–transgender children regret the choice by the time they reach adulthood.
It’s obvious this movement is targeting vulnerable children who are too young to know better. They deliberately work through the public schools, so they can hide what they are doing from parents. But this law shuts down the entire scheme, sending these activists running.
Don’t be surprised to hear about lawsuits challenging this bill. Democrats will stop at nothing to undermine parents’ influence over their children, so they can twist children to their will.
