He has signed many laws and initiatives that have protected residents’ rights and freedoms. All the while spitting in the eye of the “woke” mob.
The left has done its best to slander the governor, but he refuses to back down. The man seems to be possessed with a fire none can quench—and he’s on a roll pushing policies that embrace traditional American values.
This time around, he will certainly chap the left’s hide—but millions of Americans will cheer. Because he signed a proclamation stabbing at the dark heart of the left’s agenda.

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis signed a proclamation on Tuesday declaring that Sarasota native and Olympic silver medalist Emma Weyant was “the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle” in last week’s NCAA championship…
“By allowing men to compete in women’s sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud,” DeSantis said in a tweet. “In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota’s Emma Weyant as the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle.”
If you haven’t been on the Internet in a while, you might not know that a trans athlete “won” the 500-yard freestyle in this year’s NCAA competition. The athlete, calling himself Lia Thomas, had previously competed as a man (failing to rank above 400th). But as soon as he “identified” as a woman, he dominated competitions, crushing the times biological women set in the race.
That wasn’t good enough for Florida’s DeSantis. So, he signed a proclamation that designated Florida native Emma Weyant as the real winner of the race, calling her “the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle.” But he didn’t stop there.
In the tweet announcing the proclamation, DeSantis blasted the NCAA for embracing the transgender agenda. By allowing biological males to compete against biological females, they’re committing “fraud” according to the governor.
It’s no secret that biological males, transgender or otherwise, have a significant advantage over biological females. Those who suddenly identify as women and compete in women’s sports nearly always win—something that outrages millions of Americans.
It’s unclear what will come of this proclamation. Obvious, Democrats will be furious and attack Florida once again. Hey, maybe this will get them so mad, that they won’t bother going there to vacation anymore! It’s a win-win!
