Florida Launches Major Woke Investigation – They’re Going After a Controversial “Family-Friendly” Drag Show

Prior to 2022, most considered Florida a “purple state.” But with the surging popularity of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and massive wins in the midterms, many say it’s now a solid red state.

Democrats have lost a huge amount of traction and conservative ideals are getting more and more support.

This includes backing parents and families in an ongoing battle with the “woke” agenda.

Topping the list for many parents is the emergence of those controversial drag shows for children. The Drag Queen Story Hour is one of the more well-known examples.

However, not everyone is on board with the idea of pushing highly explicit imagery into a child’s face. And as far as Florida is concerned, it qualifies as a crime.

That’s why they’re currently investigating the now-infamous “Drag Queen Christmas,” which according to sources featured inappropriate material — some of which is too inappropriate to even print.

From Breitbart:

Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is investigating a sexually explicit drag show that took place in Fort Lauderdale on December 26 and welcomed children in the audience.

The show is similar to one held in Knoxville, which Libs of TikTok posted about on Twitter. It quickly enraged thousands of parents who couldn’t believe such material would be presented to children.

Press secretary for DeSantis, Bryan Griffin, said his office is working on behalf of DBPR and was reacting to “multiple complaints” regarding the performance in question.

The investigation will use as evidence “video footage and photographs from the event.”

A released statement said the DPBR will “take action” because “exposing children to sexually explicit activity is a crime in Florida.

The result could be criminal charges and the statement finishes:

The Department frequently conducts investigations into these matters upon tips provided by the public, and we thank the public for continuing to bring attention to these incidents.

Investigations of such allegations will remain a priority for the Department and, indeed, are ongoing.

Parents across the country have questioned these drag events, and many say they’re highly damaging to developing children.

They say it isn’t about inclusion or tolerance at all, but more about indoctrination, grooming, and just plain sick behavior that has unfortunately started to dominate the entire entertainment landscape.

But Florida likely won’t be the only state to investigate these events if they continue — because if it can be classified as explicit material, it’s against the law to bring children in.

Key Takeaways:

  • Florida launched an investigation into the “Drag Queen Christmas” event, where children were spotted in attendance.
  • The DPBR stated that this could qualify as a crime, and are conducting an ongoing probe.
  • Many parents say such content should never be placed in front of children.
