Nancy Pelosi ordered tens of thousands of National Guardsmen to D.C. before the Inauguration. Rumors suggest there was a threat against the event, but…
Nothing materialized, begging the question, why were there so many troops there?
Americans were shocked to see the way our servicemen and women were treated, forced to sleep on floors and freezing garages.
And days after the Inauguration, for some reason they are still in D.C. But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is fed up. From Daily Wire:
Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday morning announced that he has ordered back home Florida National Guard troops sent to Washington, D.C…
“[Governor Ron DeSantis] says he ordered the National Guard to come home from the U.S. Capitol because ‘they’re not Nancy Pelosi’s servants’ and ‘this is a half-cocked mission at this point and I think the appropriate thing is to bring them home,’” reported Miami Herald Tallahassee Bureau Chief Mary Ellen Klas.
There appears to be no reason to keep these National Guardsmen stationed in D.C. At first, they did not even provide cots for these soldiers.
Later, they were kicked out of government buildings and forced to sleep in garages. Why? There appears to be no lingering threat. Gov. DeSantis called it a “half-cocked” mission and that Pelosi is treating them as her servants.
Images of National Guardsman flooding D.C. reminded many Americans of disturbing scenes from dictators around the world. They often used the military as a show of force to the public, sending the message to “get in line” with their regimes?
Is that what Nancy was trying to do? Because that is not how America uses our troops.
Again and again, Pelosi shows herself to be a woman who cares quite a bit aabout her power and agenda.
Even as Americans continue to struggle with COVID, she pushed for the second impeachment of Donald Trump. She might even delay further relief until March.
The fact that the federal government treated them so badly is reason enough to bring them back home.
Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott has also ordered his guardsmen back. More governors are likely to follow.
Do you support calling our National Guard troops back home?
- Governor of Florida recalled his state’s National Guardsmen from D.C.
- He called their presence there a “half-cocked mission.”
- DeSantis also accused Nancy of treating them like her “servants.”
