Many were hoping that Trump would cast a light on the D.C. swamp before leaving office. They were particularly concerned with who was behind the Russian investigation.
The long-running case headed by Durham appears to have yielded little. But Trump wasn’t finished.
The media appears to be staying quiet about this development. Despite that, we’ve learned that Trump declassified new information on his final full day in office.
And he pulled the mask off the source of the infamous Steele Dossier. From Biz Pac Review:
The documents show that [Fiona] Hill, a Russia expert, introduced Steele to his primary sub-source in 2011 after the FBI had initiated an investigation to determine if he was linked to Moscow’s intelligence services…
Among the declassified documents is a 26-page report “showing that the sub-source had been the focus of an FBI counterintelligence probe back in 2009-11 and that the bureau assessed he had posed a possible national security threat to the U.S. and had Russian intelligence,” the outlet reported.
It appears that Fiona Hill, a Russian expert and “witness” during the House’s first impeachment of Trump, was behind Steele getting dirt from Russia.
The source was an Eastern-Europe born academic with ties to a “left-leaning policy think tank.”
This person was the one who provided content for the infamous “Russia dossier” the FBI used to start their own investigations. The same dossier peddled around by the media to push their narrative.
What’s funny is that Fiona Hill appeared as a witness for the Democrats in their attacks against Trump. Yet none of her previous involvement ever came up.
If you were the one responsible for the origin of a document that sought to frame a president, maybe you’re not the best witness in a case against him.
Seems like Hill would not have been an unbiased witness that could provide untainted information during an investigation. The House would have known that, right? Or at least, she should have mentioned it while testifying.
The source itself worked for a liberal think tank previously, which further colors the political motivations of the entire Russian narrative.
Now that this information is out, will people continue to claim Trump was working for Russia? How many more documents need to be declassified before the left gives up this claim?
- In his final full day in office, Donald Trump declassified many Russian investigation documents.
- It was revealed that a witness in the House’s impeachment probes connected Steele with his source.
- An Eastern-European, who worked for a liberal think tank, provided dirt for the Steele dossier.
