To the shock of millions, government officials burned off the toxic chemicals spilling from the train derailment of East Palestine, OH. Before anyone could raise objections, they burned off thousands of tons of toxins, claiming they would explode.
But critics say they did it to quickly clear the tracks, unconcerned over the health hazard it posed. Officials from the EPA told residents it was safe to return home. Many doubted them, still displaced after the disaster. Those who did return home quickly found out that all was not well. How bad is it? This bad.
From New York Post:
Wade Lovett’s been having trouble breathing since the Feb. 3 Norfolk South train derailment and toxic explosion here. In fact, his voice sounds as if he’s been inhaling helium.
“Doctors say I definitely have the chemicals in me but there’s no one in town who can run the toxicological tests to find out which ones they are,” Lovett, 40, an auto detailer, said in an extremely high-pitched voice. “My voice sounds like Mickey Mouse. My normal voice is low. It’s hard to breathe, especially at night. My chest hurts so much at night I feel like I’m drowning. I cough up phlegm a lot. I lost my job because the doctor won’t release me to go to work.”
This is truly unbelievable. Residents of East Palestine, OH have been suffering various health problems ever since the train derailment. One man has been suffering from trouble breathing. Apparently, the effects were so bad, it changed his voice. In a video, his voice was high-pitched, almost like Mickey Mouse.
He said doctors told him he “definitely” has chemicals in him. Unfortunately, there isn’t a doctor in town who can run the toxicological tests. Chances are, this man and many others will be forced to travel to see experts to diagnose and treat them. Can they even afford that?
Will the government cover these expenses, after recklessly burning off these chemicals–releasing them into the atmosphere? Just think, this man is already suffering consequences from the disaster. But what about long-term effects? He might look forward to years of pain and suffering, thanks to Biden’s failures.
Had the Biden administration’s DOT moved quickly, this could have been avoided. Had Biden’s EPA actually thought before they rushed to make this mistake, thousands of lives could have been protected. Ironically, the very agencies designed to protect lives and ensure these kinds of disasters don’t happen seriously dropped the ball.
Yet Biden has refused to go to East Palestine. And Pete Buttigieg, head of the DOT, showed up long enough for a photo.
When will these crooks be held accountable for what they’ve done?
- Citizens of East Palestine are suffering health problems after officials burned off toxic chemicals.
- One man suffered injuries to his throat; his voice sounds like Mickey Mouse.
- Joe Biden has refused to visit the town, seemingly doing nothing.
