DeSantis Plans To Protect Trump From New York Indictment – Florida Could Block Donald’s Extradition

What’s Happening:

Never underestimate the left’s ability to hold a grudge. Even though Donald Trump is no longer in office, Democrats are still trying to get him for all the good he did for America.

Petty anti-Trumpers in New York are looking for ways to “get” Trump, with a seemingly endless assault of legal battles.

They are convinced Trump had broken the law with his financers (they must think he’s as shady as they are).

Word is, they might indict the 45th president perhaps force him to show up to a trial.

But the now-Florida resident might be getting protection, from the governor himself.

From Daily Mail:

The Manhattan district attorney’s criminal investigation into the former president is reaching its final stages and an obscure extradition clause in Florida law could benefit Trump if he’s indicted…

That means if Trump gets charged by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance – who is probing the former president’s business practices – it would be in the hands of Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, a close Trump friend and ally, to decide if Trump should be handed over to New York authorities.

Chances are, Democrats won’t find anything on Donald Trump. The man has been conducting business for decades. If he had broken any laws, it would have come up much earlier than now.

But we all know this is politically motivated. This is the same party that impeached him twice, one time when he had already left office.

If these NY Democrats do drum up some charges against Trump, the state of Florida has the power to freeze them in their tracks.

There is a statute that can give the Florida governor the power to block interstate extradition, should DeSantis decide to do so.

Hmm… would a conservative, America first governor like Ron DeSantis have any desire to protect a president who is being wrongfully persecuted by bitter liberals? You tell me.

The reality is, New York’s DA won’t try to extradite Trump, even if they try to indict him. The best they might do is hit his former businesses with fines or fees, prompting a response from Trump’s legal team.

Remember, President Trump could have stopped the witch hunt that was the Mueller probe, while was in office. He let it go on, because he knew he was innocent of the left’s attacks.

This might be the same scenario. New York’s DA is wasting taxpayer’s dollars, chasing down make-believe charges, just to spite Trump.

But even if he tries to nab him, Trump always has friends who know how to do the right thing.

Key Takeaways:

  • Rumors swirl that New York’s DA might try to indict Trump over charges against his business.
  • Florida has a statute that could block possible extradition, should the governor intervene.
  • Ron DeSantis is an ally of Trump’s, who shares similar conservative values.
