DeSantis Defies Biden With Historic Law – Immigration Bill Dedicates $12M To Removing Undocumenteds

What’s Happening:

Joe Biden has gotten a big, fat “F” for handling the border. Under Joe’s leadership, over three million illegal aliens have entered the country. Border town officials say drug cartels are running the border. And with the end of Title 42, even more outsiders will be coming into the country.

But some leaders are not holding their breath for Biden to fix this crisis. In Florida, the state has been taking steps to protect residents from a tidal wave of illegal immigration. Gov. DeSantis just signed a bill that will actually put Americans first and shut down this insanity.

From The Washington Examiner:

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed a sweeping immigration bill into law at an event in Jacksonville, Florida, in an effort to curb illegal immigration.

SB 1718, which DeSantis signed Wednesday, expands E-verify and provides $12 million in funding toward transporting illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, among other items.

Gov. DeSantis signed a bill that provides numerous solutions to the growing border crisis. Among them include a provision requiring E-verify for workers. E-verify is a system that can quickly verify an immigrant’s status. Many states have tried to undermine this system, so illegal migrants can keep working.

In Florida, however, E-verify is being expanded. In addition to this, it looks like DeSantis will be busing more migrants to Martha’s Vineyard or other sanctuary cities. Unfortunately, state governments do not have the power to deport illegal migrants.

That might change, depending on an upcoming Supreme Court decision. But for now, Republican leaders are not able to remove these outsiders from the country.

So, states like Florida have to come up with other ways to reduce illegal immigration and protect their people.

The bill will also penalize companies that are employing illegal aliens. It will increase penalties for human smuggling. This is one of the strongest anti-illegal immigration bills ever signed into law. Democrats will surely try to undermine it with lawsuits or other measures.

All we want to know is… when are other red states going to follow suit?

Key Takeaways:

  • DeSantis signed a massive anti-illegal immigration bill into law.
  • The law will strengthen E-verify and penalize companies that hire illegals.
  • It also provides more funding for Florida to bus illegal aliens to sanctuary cities.
