The Democrats have had control of the White House for over 90 days now and some are wondering, what the heck are they doing?
Many of the policies enacted have been continuations of things Trump had already started, or they have just been undoing things Trump already accomplished – big surprise there!
Well we finally have some movement from the left, but I don’t think you’re going to like it. And its not even something you haven’t seen before. Check it out…
Re. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Market are reintroducing the Green New Deal
“I am reintroducing the Green New Deal and announcing the Civilian Climate Corps with [Ocasio-Cortez] because we can’t wait to deliver environmental justice, create millions of new jobs, and save our planet for generations to come.” @Ed Markey
Wait, excuse me for a moment…
Why are we going back to this tired old proposal again? We have been through this before and the GOP collectively decided that there are massive issues with this move.
AOC decided that it wasn’t enough to just re-introduce the Green New Deal, so she gave some personal thoughts on the subject.
Let’s just say…they are scary.
Rep. @AOC: "We're going to transition to a 100% carbon-free economy that is more unionized, more just, more dignified, and guarantees more health care and housing than we ever have before." https://t.co/R7hStBdcPZ pic.twitter.com/DB5ATpAWz2

“Those who have been left behind come first. We refuse to allow… an economy that goes from oil bearance to solar bearance. That’s what we are not going to do because what we are going to do is that we’re going to transition to a 100% carbon-free economy that is more unionized, more just, more dignified, and guarantees more health care and housing than we ever have before.”
Sounds amazing right? I’m just not sure if she knows that we live in the real world and not some sort of fairy tale.
Sure it SOUNDS good to guarantee healthcare and housing and jobs and food and shelter and everything else to everyone on the planet. But how do we actually go about doing that?
And more importantly, who is going to pay for all of that? The government has already been printing money at an alarming rate. If we keep this up for much longer I think it spells serious trouble ahead for America.
Luckily, the Senate blocked this one before and hopefully will happen again. In 2019, all Senate Republicans opposed the idea, but only four Senate Democrats opposed.
Let’s hope that we can get the word out to our representatives to make sure that they know where we stand on this issue.
Please help share this out and do your part!
