After Democrat Thought He Won, Top Republican Stuns With Major Upset

They said she didn’t have a chance – now she’s defying all odds in the last midterm election.

It’s been two weeks since the midterm elections, and newly elected Congressmen and women across the country are gearing up to head to D.C.

But are all the races done and accounted for? Not quite.

Some races are still too close to call, and even though Democrats have scored a few victories, one is still undecided—despite the Democrat claiming he’s won.

His opponent has not conceded, but he is still calling himself “Member-Elect”.

Now the Republican is stunning the country with an amazing comeback.

From The Right Scoop:

Rep. Mia Love has taken an even bigger lead over her opponent Ben McAdams in Utah. It’s looking very much like a win is the cards, and outside the margin of recount, when the certification deadline hits tomorrow.

The two-term congresswoman took her first lead on Saturday with a mere 419 votes, but the Salt Lake Tribune reports that her lead is now over 1,516 votes. She’s been gaining votes at triple the rate of her opponent as provisional ballots are tallied.

If Mia Love is able to pull off a win, it would weaken the Democrat majority and elevate her status as a rising star in the Republican Party.

Love made a name for herself in 2015 by being the first African-American Republican woman elected to the House of Representatives.

She is proof that the Republican Party is much more diverse than the Left gives us credit for, and that’s what makes her so terrifying to the Democrats.

It hasn’t been a smooth road for Love in Congress, however. She and Trump have been at odds since the President’s comments about Haiti, the country Love’s family hails from.

But she would be a far better choice than her opponent Ben McAdams, who is determined to undermine Trump at every turn should he win the coveted Congressional seat.

The delay in determining the winner has mostly been attributed to mail-in ballots lacking appropriate signatures, but voters had until Monday to correct their errors.

Right now it’s still a close race, but if Mia’s lead holds, they won’t even need a recount.

If there’s one thing the GOP doesn’t need, it’s another Democrat in Washington.
