Besides inflation, the border crisis, and the war in Ukraine, there’s another hot topic that continues to get plenty of attention in 2022.
And for Americans who are struggling in these difficult economic times, it’s a thorn in their side — rich politicians who just get richer.
It’s even more frustrating when it seems like an elected official used campaign funds for personal benefit.
This is a common complaint in the past few years: politicians who rake in big dollars for campaigns don’t always use all that money on the campaign.
We’ve heard of many questionable incidents in just the past few months. And now, here’s another.
It seems House Majority Whip James Clyburn has been doling out campaign cash to members of his family.
Evidently, we’re not dealing with a small amount, either.
According to a recent Fox News report, Rep. Clyburn has been spreading the wealth of his campaign funding … but only to his immediately family:

It would appear that not all the money the South Carolina Democrat raised went to his campaign.
In fact, a whole lot apparently didn’t, and two daughters (and their husbands) and a grandson have directly benefited from Clyburn’s generosity.
One of those daughters – Jennifer – got a hefty $45,000 as a “campaign management fee,” and she’s also taken tens of thousands more for “office rent.”
Then we hear that Clyburn sent $62,500 in rent payments to 49 Magnolia Blossom LLC, where his daughter’s husband is a registered agent.
And reportedly, the company’s address is the same as Jennifer and her husband’s home address.
Additionally, federal records show that another of Clyburn’s daughters, Angela, hauled in over $20k for truck rentals and voter outreach between 2018 and 2019.
And Angela’s husband also netted almost $70,000 from Rep. Clyburn’s campaign committee for “community and district outreach and travel reimbursements.”
Overall, the payouts amount to over $200,000, and now some people have questions.
With so many people struggling to fill their gas tanks and pay the family grocery bill, politicians rake in big bucks and distribute it to their families.
It appears this is the case here, as the campaign funds were going directly to Clyburn’s family — though no official complaint has been lodged just yet.
Either way, though, it paints this particular elected representative in a dubious light.
