Democrats have expressed doubts that Joe Biden will show up for the three scheduled presidential debates.
Trump, on the other hand, has been calling for more debates—some earlier in the election.
It seems the president is more than ready to challenge Biden up close and personal.
Now, the candidates just got another debate invitation, featuring a possible moderator that’s well-known in the comedy and podcast worlds.
And Trump, unsurprisingly, is ready to rumble:
On my podcast with @joerogan he offered to moderate a debate between @JoeBiden and @realDonaldTrump It would be four hours with no live audience. Just the two candidates, cameras, and their vision of how to move this country forward. Who wants this? #debates #Election2020
Former Special Forces Operator Tim Kennedy went on the Joe Rogan podcast and put forward a novel debate idea.
He suggested that Joe Rogan should moderate a 4-hour debate with Joe Biden and Donald Trump. No audience, just the candidates and cameras, and “their vision of how to move this country forward.”
After tweeting “Who wants this?” the president himself responded, “I do!”
Podcaster Joe Rogan, an outspoken liberal (who just moved from CA to Texas) has expressed strong criticism of Joe Biden.
While not a Trump fan, Rogan has for months predicted a Trump victory this election.
Rogan is known for his objectivity, interviewing a wide range of people on his popular show. He’s even interviewed conservative figures like Ben Shapiro and Steven Crowder, as well as left-wing politicians Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard.
Given his massive audience, a debate moderated by Rogan would be viewed by tens of millions of people, easy.
He would not pull any punches, but nor would he show bias.
We already know Trump is ready for such a debate. Would Biden ever agree to it?
It’s hard to tell. It seems the Biden campaign (and the Democratic Party) is doing everything in their power to limit Joe’s exposure.
They keep interviews short, no questions from the media. And recently, we’ve seen evidence that he uses a teleprompter even for simple Q&A sessions.
But do you want to see Trump debate Biden with Joe Rogan moderating?
- Tim Kennedy proposed a debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, moderated by podcaster Joe Rogan.
- The debate would be four hours long, with no audience, just the candidates, and their vision for America.
- Donald Trump quickly responded he’d be open to this kind of format.
- No response from Joe Biden or his campaign.
