Days After Supreme Court Takes Up Major Case – Texas Governor Teams Up With New Law While Democrats Fret

What’s Happening:

Do you think it’s a good time to be a Democrat? Well, not really.

They might have their puppet in the White House, but they are pretty far from making their socialist dreams come true.

Donald Trump is as popular as ever, with polls showing Democrats’ influence in the country is slipping.

And now, leftists are quaking in their boots as the Supreme Court takes up a major case.

From Daily Caller:

Abortion advocates and Democrats reacted with anger and fear to news that the Supreme Court would review a case directly challenging aspects of Roe v. Wade, warning that “reproductive rights are in danger.”

And hot on the heels of this epic news is a major bill signed by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

From Fox News:

The law signed by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott puts Texas in line with more than a dozen other states that ban abortions after the detection of a fetal heartbeat, as early as six weeks. Federal courts have mostly blocked the measures from taking effect.

Matthew McConaughey might have to look for a new state to become governor in. Because Abbott just signed into law one of the most aggressive pro-life bills ever seen.

It effectively bans abortions when a fetal heartbeat is detected, at around 6 weeks.

This is giving pro-choice advocates pause, because based on the ruling of the Supreme Court case, many more states will embrace this kind of policy.

The Supreme Court will rule on a law in Mississippi that bans abortions around week 15. Pro-choice liberals claim that the practice should be allowed until the fetus is “viable,” which some say is past 24 weeks.

But the court will be deciding if “pre-viability” rules are even Constitutional. If they do, then it’s open season for pro-choice legislation.

The reason Democrats are so terrified is because this case will decide the very validity of Roe V Wade, the old ruling that made abortion legal in the first place.

And with a strong conservative majority, the court could erode this outdated ruling, making it effectively null and void.

Joe Biden had promised to make Roe V Wade the “law of the land,” if the Supreme Court overruled it. But something tells me old Joe has a snowball’s chance in hell getting Congress to pass a bill like that.

We just might see Roe V Wade’s days numbered.

Key Takeaways:

  • The Supreme Court will decide on a case regarding an MS abortion ban.
  • Texas Gov. Abbott signed into law a bill that bans the practice after 6 weeks.
