Thanks to the poor leadership of debate moderator Chris Wallace, the first presidential debate was a mess.
Wallace allowed Biden to interrupt the president, leading to constant interruptions and arguments.
It didn’t look good for the candidates, but it especially made the debate commission look bad.
So, perhaps the commission would pick a better moderator to ensure that wouldn’t happen.
Maybe a non-partisan?
Of course not. Instead, they are implementing rules that are sure to be abused:
The Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) will mute President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden during the two-minute response times allotted to their opponents for commenting on topics during Thursday’s debate in Nashville.
The commission said in a statement that it “had determined that it is appropriate to adopt measures intended to promote adherence to agreed-upon rules and inappropriate to make changes to those rules.”
Instead of appointing a non-partisan moderator who could ensure both candidates have a chance to speak, the commission is implementing a bogus rule that silences both candidates.
The point of a debate, we must remind you, is to debate. That means both candidates can jump in—if necessary—to confront what the other is saying.
Joe Biden is known for saying things, whose accuracy is more than questionable. On top of that, he has frequently been called out for plagiarism.
We know these moderators are unwilling to call him out. The only person there who can hold Biden to the truth is Trump.
But the biased commission is making sure Trump will be easily muted by the left-wing host.
And they criticize us when we say the system is rigged.
How often do you think the moderator will actually silence Joe? How often will she silence Trump?
You already know the answer to those questions.
Imagine who pathetic this will look to viewers around the world. Here we have the President of the United States debating a former senator and vice president.
Yet this commission is too cowardly to let them speak freely. They want to mute them like they are children in a time out.
Which makes this debate feel totally pointless, doesn’t it?
- The debate commission will mute the candidates during the debate.
- All the moderators have left-wing biases.
- The commission refuses to show impartiality when organizing these debates.
