Days After Whistleblower Exposes NPR – Woke Network Makes 1 Disgraceful Move

Last week, Uri Berliner, a senior editor for NPR, exposed the group’s liberal bias. A twenty-year veteran of the organization, he revealed that only Democrats worked in the top positions of NPR. He went on to say that the network had an overwhelmingly liberal bias.

He did this in the hope of saving the broadcaster, as listeners and revenue have been rapidly declining in recent years.

Many blasted the NPR over this news. Republicans demanded that that organization lose federal funding. It seems Berliner’s hope of saving the NPR is unlikely, given conservative outrage. And the group has done itself no favors in how it treated him.

From The Post Millennial:
It has been revealed that longtime National Public Radio reporter Uri Berliner has been penalized by his employer after penning a scathing op-ed in the Free Press…

According to NPR’s David Folkenflik, Berliner was suspended on Friday for five days without pay for violating policies regarding working for other outlets…

In a letter to Berliner, NPR said he was being given a “final warning,” and that failure to abide by the policy again would lead to his termination…

He maintained that despite the notable slide into partisan programming, defunding the public broadcaster was not the answer. Change, he contended, could only come from within.

The NPR suspended Berliner for five days without pay.  It also warned him that if he again provided content to outside organizations without permission, they would terminate him. Berliner exposed the NPR’s obsession with gender and racial identity. He accused it of spreading “unconscious bias training sessions.”

It seems that the network is unwilling to recognize the many problems Berliner exposed in his article. Like many other liberal-run institutions, those controlling the NPR do not believe they are in the wrong. They have become so entrenched in their leftist ideology, that they’d rather attack people trying to hold them accountable, than reform.

At this point, it is unlikely that NPR can be fixed “from within.” It continues to lose listeners and ad revenue. It is unknown if it will lose government funding, but that is not going to happen while Biden remains in office. Should Republicans regain a majority, that is all but a certainty.

Key Takeaways:

  • NPR suspended whistleblower Uri Berliner for five days without pay.
  • The organization warned him that he’d be fired if he provided content to other outlets without permission.
  • This came after Berliner revealed the company’s far-left bias and agenda.
